Former Terp Fokou Signs 4-Year Contract With Eagles Congrats to Moise Fokou, former Terp linebacker, as he signed a 4-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday. Fokou was drafted with the 230th pick in the 7th round of this year’s draft, and was the third of five Terps to be taken in the draft.Fokou came to the Terps as a walk-on, but made a name for himself quickly. Times for First Two Home Games Set Yesterday, the ACC announced the start times of the first two home games for the Terrapin football team. The home opener against James Madison on September 12 will kickoff at 6 p.m. and the following week (Sept. 19), the Terps will host Middle Tennessee State at 3:30 p.m. These times should be welcomed by tailgaters who don’t want to make their way to lot 1 and lot 9 at 7 in the morning. The Terps open the season Sept 5 with a 10PM nationally televised game on the deuce against the Cal Bears.
Rodney Wallace and Jeremy Hall Reunited in D.C. Tonight, Rodney Wallace (D.C. United) and Jeremy Hall (NY Red Bulls) will be back on the field together in D.C., as the New York Red Bulls take on D.C. Men’s Tennis Coach Jim Laitta is Out Exactly a week after announcing that Terp women’s tennis coach Martin Novak was resigning, the Athletics Department opened a search for a new men’s tennis coach as former coach Jim Laitta’s contract will not be renewed.While Novak’s resignation could have been foreseen, it was an interesting move to remove Laitta five years after he got the men’s tennis program fully-funded.Laitta has been with University of Maryland for 19 years, coaching both the men’s and women’s programs at one time.
